The Student Conference provides an opportunity for research students to

  • present papers to an audience of fellow-research students and get peer feed-back

  • to help develop a network of contacts.

Proposals are invited on citizenship and related topics: social justice, migration, acculturation, identity issues, ethnic relationships, diversity, intercultural issues, social exclusion-inclusion, inter-group relationships, historical culture, environmental issues, etc. Papers are welcome from different disciplines including education, sociology, political science, history, psychology and philosophy.

Papers accepted for publication will be published in the main conference proceedings and so be brought to the attention of researchers across Europe and beyond.

The student conference welcomes participants, who present a paper, and audience members, who do not present a paper but form part of the audience.

The number of participants who will be selected to present their papers is limited to twelve. The number of audience participants will not be limited.

Presenting participants are expected to be present in all sessions of the student conference, from the very beginning to the very end.

The conference will start on Tuesday 14th June with afternoon registration and opening sessions. On Wednesday 15th June there will be both morning and afternoon sessions from 9.00 am. On Thursday June 16th there will be only a morning session until 12.30 followed by a farewell lunch and the presentation of Best Student Conference Paper awards at the end of the main Conference Opening Plenary Session (starting in the afternoon).

After the Research Student Conference students can attend the Main Jean Monnet CiCe Network & CiCea Conference, which immediately follows (CiCe Association website for further information about the main conference).
